Qualtech Products Industry Charpy Impact Tester is a professional Charpy Pendulum Impact Test Equipment to instantly measure and evaluate the Impact Resistance of Plastic Samples and PVC Samples including plastic surfaces, plastic panels, plastic plates, plastic pipes and related sample materials at the touch of a button.
The Charpy Impact Test uses a swinging Pendulum Arm which pivots and is lifted to a specified height. The pivoting Pendulum Arm is released and impacts on a specified sample to determine the Impact Strength. The energy which is absorbed by the sample is calculated from the specified height the Pendulum Arm is released. The Charpy Impact Test and the Izod Impact Test are similar test methods which differ primarily in the configuration of the Sample Holder System.
The Charpy Impact Test uses a Cantilevered Beam Installation and the Izod Impact Test relies on a Notched Sample Installation to measure the Impact Energy and the Notch Sensitivity. The Izod Impact Test releases a higher Impact Force compared to the Charpy Impact Test.
