This professional Wet Abrasion Scrub Tester is engineered to test the resistance to abrasion of coated sample surfaces subjected to wet abrasion by a brush, sponge or related material combined with a detergent under controlled conditions to simulate everyday use or wear patterns.
This professional Wet Abrasion Tester is engineered to evaluate the washability and related properties that affect the stain resistance of coatings, for example Coating Surface Abrasion Resistance Tests and Detergent Performance Tests can be performed in a reproducible manner for professional and industrial applications.

Automatic Wet Scrub Resistance Tester – ASTM D 2486:
This professional Wet Scrub Resistance Tester is engineered in accordance with the test standard ASTM D 2486 to evaluate the scrub resistance of interior wall paint. To perform this Wet Scrub Resistance Test the paint is applied onto a black plastic panel. After curing the coated plastic panel is placed on the sample area of the Wet Abrasion Scrub Tester and is scrubbed with a nylon bristle brush with a load of 454 grams until failure occurs. The nylon brushes and test loads of 454 grams are available together with the automated Wet Scrub Resistance Tester to ensure a professional and precise test in accordance with ASTM D 2486.
Wet Scrub Resistance Test by Abrasion Weight Loss – ASTM D 3450 (Model QPI-2500 only):
This Wet Abrasion Test is performed in combination with Scotch 3M Pads and a test load of 1500 g.
Wet Scrub Resistance Test by Abrasion Weight Loss – ASTM D 4213 (Model QPI-2500 only):
This Wet Abrasion Scrub Tester is engineered in accordance with the test standard ASTM D 4213 to evaluate the wet scrub resistance by abrasion weight loss. When applying this test method the scrub resistance of samples is measured by the weight loss of the coating or paint film relative to the calibration panel. The sample and the calibration panel are scrubbed simultaneously. The abrasive parts and the calibration panel are available together with the automated Wet Scrub Resistance Tester to ensure a professional and precise test in accordance with ASTM D 4213. This Wet Abrasion Test is performed in combination with Scotch 3M Pads and a test load of 470 g.
Automatic Washability Scrub Tester – ISO 11998 /BS3900:
This Automatic Washability Scrub Tester is designed in accordance with the test standards ISO 11998 and BS 3900. The ISO and BS test standards describe the details of the washability scrub test. This Washability Scrub Tester uses special high quality pads with a load of 135 grams combined with a detergent to perform this standardized washability scrub test. The abrasive pads automatically complete 200 scrub cycles to perform this Washability Scrub Test. The evaluation of the wash/scrub resistance is done by calculating the loss of mass. The high quality abrasive pads and the test loads of 135 grams are available together with the automated Washability Scrub Tester to ensure a professional and precise test in accordance with ISO 11998 and BS 3900.
Automatic Wet Abrasion Scrub Tester – EN 13300 (replaces DIN 53778):
This Automatic Wet Abrasion Scrub Tester is engineered in accordance with the test standard EN 13300 (replaces the test standard DIN 53778). The Wet Abrasion Scrub Test area should be free of residuals. To evaluate the Wash Resistance a test with 1000 scrub cycles is required. To evaluate a the Scrub Resistance a test with 5000 scrub cycles is performed. This wet scrub abrasion test is performed with a hog bristle brush combined with a detergent supply system to continuously and precisely add the detergent. The evaluation is done visually. The natural bristle brushes and the test loads of 250 grams are available together with the automated Wet Scrub Resistance Tester to ensure a professional and precise test in accordance with the test standard EN 13300 (DIN 53778).
Wet Scrub Abrasion Test by Abrasion Weight Loss – ASTM D 4752 (Model QPI-2500 only):
This Wet Abrasion Scrub Test is completed in combination with absorbent cotton pads and 1000 g ± 10 g.
