The Dropping Point is the temperature at which a sample begins to release drops.
This professional Automatic Dropping Point Tester ASTM D2265 determines the temperature at which a lubricant sample or a grease sample reaches a specified fluidity and starts to release drops.
To determine the Dropping Point of samples, the sample is placed into one of the six available Dropping Point Sample Cartridges which is inserted into the Sample Cartridge Holder of this Automatic Dropping Point Tester. The sample is heated steadily and under increasing temperature the point of change in phase is detected and the temperature is presented on the large Digital Display.
