Le Wyzenbeek Oscillatory Test Method determines the resistance of woven samples to abrasion and wear by performing a continuous Double-Rub-Motion. The sample is mounted on a Sample Holder Frame and is rubbed continuously against a Cotton Duck. Every completed Double-Rub-Motion counts as one completed Abrasion Cycle. The Wyzenbeek Abrasion Test is suitable for a wide range of samples including Upholstery Fabrics for furniture. The Wyzenbeek Oscillatory Test Method is especially helpful to determine and to simulate the resistance to wear of Upholstery Fabrics used in high-traffic areas such a public areas, hotels and many more.
