De Draadstaafcoater shows a spiral bar shape – wire bar shape – and is engineered to drawdown coatings, paint films and inks on a sample surface with high accuracy and high precision. The sample surface is usually a thin sheet material or a panel including Black-White Test Charts, Hiding Power Charts, glass panels, steel panels, metal panels, wood boards and related substrates.

To professionally apply a coating or a paint film with the Mayer Type Wire Bar Film Applicator de Wire-Wound Drawdown Bar is held with both hands or an optional high quality handle at both ends of the Wire-Wound Bar Applicator and is then carefully moved across the sample surface. The paint moves along the gaps between the Stainless Steel rod and forms a uniform thin film coating with a specified thickness. To ensure highest accuracy and highest precision the Spiral Bar Coater can be attached to an optional Drawdown Bar Holder of Drawdown Bar Handle and to the motordriven and electronic Automatische folietoepasser.
