Automatic Buoyancy Density Meter - Application:
O Buoyancy Density Beter Test Method is based on Archimedes' Principle, which states that the Buoyant Force exerted on a body immersed in a fluid is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the body.
This Test Method works by first weighing the sample in air. This represents the sample's weight in a vacuum, or its True Sample Weight. The sample is then weighed again while immersed in a liquid of known density. The difference in weight between the two measurements is the Buoyant Force.
The buoyant force can be calculated using the following equation:
Buoyant Force = (Density of the Liquid) * (Volume of the Sample)
O Volume of the Sample can be calculated by dividing the Buoyant Force by the Density of the Liquid.
O Density of the Sample can then be calculated using the following equation:
Density of Sample = (True Sample Weight) / (Volume of the Sample)
